Democrats Dan Cruce and Ray Seigfried were elected to the state of the state of Delaware during two special elections on Saturday.
Cruce has won in the first district, which represents a northern section of Wilmington, Edgemoor, Bellefonte and certain parts of North Wilmington, beating the Republican Steven Washington and the non -partisan candidate Riley “Livliola. Cruce received 3,654 votes against the 990 of Washington and the 88 of Figliola.
“This campaign quickly aimed at a diverse coalition and to work together for a common goal, and it is the same collaborative spirit that will guide my service to the inhabitants of Delaware,” said Cruce, who is the chief of the centraide for the Centraide Delaware.
Cruce replaces Sarah McBride, which was elected at the only seat of Delaware in the American house last November.
Ray Seigfried won in the fifth district, which represents Claymont, Arden, Talleyville and most of the Naamans Road corridor – Brent Burdge 3 780 to 2,015.
Seigfried Replaces Kyle Evans Gay, who resigned from the headquarters to become the Lieutenant-Governor of Delaware.
“In recent years, Kyle Evans Gay has shown residents of the Senate District 5 that they could expect more than their leaders in Dover,” said Seigfried, who has occupied jobs in the fields of the ‘ education and health care. “I will work tirelessly to resolve both the big challenges that our state is confronted and the unique problems faced by our voters, and together we can continue to advance Delaware.”
With the victories, the Democrats will keep their majority 15-6 in the state of the state of Delaware.
