WASHINGTON: Hunter Biden is scheduled to appear in a U.S. District Court in California on Thursday to face arraignment on nine tax charges, including three criminal charges.
Biden is scheduled to attend a hearing in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California in Los Angeles.
In December, prosecutors indicted Biden on nine criminal charges for allegedly spending money on an “extravagant lifestyle” instead of paying federal taxes.
Biden embarked on a four-year plan to avoid at least $1.4 million in federal taxes, prosecutors said.
He also faces tax and gun charges in Delaware. Biden’s lawyer, Father Lowell, told Sputnik in December that Biden was facing various charges due to his ties to US President Joe Biden.
