Came: The Bidens are selling Joe Biden

Today, the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability will hear from witnesses who have already provided information during our deposition and interview phase regarding the Biden family’s business practices in China, Ukraine, Russia and other places around the world.

Earlier this Congress, the Oversight Committee investigated what products or services the Biden family and their associates were selling that allegedly accounted for more than $24 million in overseas payments.

We reviewed emails, bank statements, text messages, Treasury Department suspicious activity reports, and other evidence normally compiled during a thorough investigation like this.

The Oversight Committee found no credible evidence that the Bidens provided any of them product of work. The Committee has not identified any legitimate value or document or even just one hour of work that the Bidens have provided to their business partners.

What is obvious, after more than a year of investigation, is that the Bidens are not working in the traditional sense of the term. They do not work as consultants. Or lawyers. Or advisors. The Bidens are not selling a product, service or skill set.

The Bidens are selling Joe Biden.

For months, we have heard Democrats desperately proclaim that witnesses told this committee that Joe Biden had no involvement in his family’s business dealings. But where are these witnesses today?

This shows that Democrats did not invite any of these witnesses to today’s hearing. This is because they know their testimony would not stand up to public scrutiny.

Democrats relied on the opening statements of these witnesses and deliberately turned a blind eye to the facts revealed in these interviews once the witnesses were asked about our evidentiary record.

Democrats now have to rely on a distracting, nonsense-talking witness who can’t speak to any of the facts reported by today’s witnesses who worked with the Bidens.

Now President Biden can no longer control his adult son. He cannot control his brother, his sister-in-law, or the nine members of his family who received money from these transactions.

All President Biden can do is control his own actions, and that’s what we’re here today to discuss with the witnesses.

Because throughout this investigation, we learned that Joe Biden was taking a series of actions to advance his family’s wealth projects.

He shows up to meetings, takes phone calls, shakes hands and tells people to “take care of my family.”

He attends dinners with foreign oligarchs and a Ukrainian executive who pays his son millions of dollars.

He is paid with money by Chinese businessmen with whom he has meetings and tells other associates that he will see what he can do to improve their situation. He writes letters of recommendation for the children of foreign associates.

The scam is simple. The Biden family promises it can resolve a foreign partner’s problems by engaging the U.S. government.

The problems can be anything. A Ukrainian corruption investigation. Moving Russian money to the United States. A Romanian criminal prosecution. China’s access to American energy resources. Joe Biden appears, shakes a few hands in front of his son and says “take care of my boy” or something similar. And the money is flowing.

This happens again and again. The Biden family promises Joe power, Joe Biden shows up, and millions of dollars flow into the Bidens’ pockets. Joe Biden is closest to the Biden family.

How could he not be? The Bidens are not doing any other work for these foreign companies that would warrant tens of millions of dollars.

There are only two explanations for this. The first is that Joe Biden knows exactly what he is doing and knows that a handshake, a wink and a smile is all he needs to maintain, as Jim Biden called it, “plausible deniability.”

Or Joe Biden is run by his family and has no idea who he’s meeting or what message he’s sending and is truly “an elderly man with a bad memory.”

There is no other explanation: either Joe Biden is complicit or Joe Biden is incompetent.

Since becoming chairman of this committee in January 2023, I have promised that the investigation into Biden family influence peddling would be based on bank records, testimony, and verifiable facts.

After years of Democrats using this commission as a mouthpiece for every conspiracy theory they could find, like the Russian collusion hoax, under my leadership the commission returned to real investigations.

If Democrats want to run another Russia collusion hoax, I’ll ask them to answer one question: What services did the Bidens provide to net them and their associates more than $24 million from foreign sources?

Democrats have the same bank statements as us, and bank statements don’t lie.

Today’s witnesses are here to talk about Joe Biden. The Republicans are here to talk about Joe Biden. If Democrats want to spend their time bragging about yet another Russia collusion hoax for the sole purpose of protecting President Biden, they can do so.

As I said, I invited Hunter Biden here today to sit down with his associates and give his side of the story. Hunter Biden demanded a public hearing. I gave him one.

Maybe he’ll show up; he said no, but he likes to say one thing and do another. At some point, Hunter Biden saying one thing and doing another starts to reflect poorly on his ability to tell the truth.

But this hearing isn’t about Hunter Biden. This investigation does not concern Hunter Biden. This is about Joe Biden and the lies he continues to tell the American people.
