Washington, United States:
The billionaire of technology and Donald Trump Ally Elon Musk promoted a gift in cash on Wisconsin voters on Thursday who sign a petition against “militant judges”, a few days before a key election for the Supreme Court of the American State.
This decision comes as Trump demands that the courts across the country will stop blocking his program. In recent weeks, the judges have delayed the efforts of its administration to revise the federal government through the so-called Ministry of Efficiency of the Musk government.
America PAC, a pro-Trump political action committee created and largely funded by Musk, said that it would give $ 100 to Wisconsin voters who sign the “petition in opposition to militant judges”.
The petition, which Musk republished on its social media platform X, urges the voters of Wisconsin to sign by April 1, when the North State elects a judge for his Supreme Court.
America Pac threw his weight behind the conservative candidate Brad Schimel for the crucial seat in the high level courtyard of the Wisconsin.
“Judges should interpret laws as written, and not rewrite them to adapt to their personal or political agendas,” he wrote on X. “Voters registered with Wisconsin receive $ 100 to sign the petition and $ 100 for each signatory they are referring.”
During the 2024 presidential race, the America PAC launched a daily lottery price of $ 1 million for random petition signatories in the states of the electoral battlefield.
The Ministry of Justice under the president of the time, Joe Biden, warned Musk and America Pac in October that the competition could violate the federal law, which prohibits people from registering to vote.
The Wisconsin petition comes after Trump launched a scathing attack on a judge on Tuesday who suggested that his administration had ignored an order to block the expulsion of alleged illegal migrants in El Salvador.
Trump personally called for the dismissal of the district judge James Boasberg, the appellant “a disturbance and agitator” in remarks that attracted a rare public reprimand of a president in office of the head of the American Supreme Court.
During the Wisconsin vote, the Schimel supported by the Republican faces Susan Crawford, who is supported by the Democrats.
“Elon Musk tries to buy a seat at the Supreme Court of Wisconsin to obtain a favorable decision in his business trial against the State,” the Crawford campaign said in a statement.
Musk’s electric car company, Tesla, calls into question the Wisconsin’s refusal to grant it an exception to a rule that prohibits car manufacturers from also having dealers. The case could be found before the Supreme Court of the State.
“Brad Schimel spent his career looking for rich interests and campaign donors, and Musk wants a judge who will govern in his favor to help his own results,” said Derrick Honeyman, spokesperson for Crawford campaign.
