A former Hunter Biden associate, who oversaw Joe Biden’s personal finances for years, told congressional investigators that he lacked visibility into key bank accounts involved in some of Hunter’s major overseas business deals Biden.
Eric Schwerin – a former business partner of Hunter Biden who managed Joe Biden’s personal finances between 2009 and 2017 – told investigating lawmakers that he had no access to or visibility into many of the millions of dollars paid to Hunter Biden, his associates and his foreign family members. transactions, according to to a transcript of his Jan. 30 interview with the House Oversight and Accountability Committee and the House Judiciary Committee. Congressional investigators have already identified Schwerin as “the architect of the Biden family shell companies”, entities through which millions of dollars generated by commercial transactions abroad passed.
“So the foreign money that the Oversight Committee is talking about – just so you know – that the Oversight Committee is talking about, that $24 million that we were able to trace back to the Bidens and Biden’s business associates and the $15 million that we traced back to the Bidens, mostly most of it. some of it, almost all of it, goes into these four bank accounts that you didn’t have visibility into. So it’s fair to say that while Hunter Biden was running Rosemont Seneca Advisors, Rosemont Seneca Partners, Seneca Global Advisors, you had access and visibility to those, but you did not have access and visibility to Rosemont Seneca Bohai, Rosemont Seneca Thornton, the Lion Hall Group, or… Robinson Walker, LLC asked an investigator in Schwerin, according to the transcript. “You didn’t have access or visibility to those, did you?”
“That’s right,” Schwerin replied. (RELATED: Biden associate reveals why Joe Biden apparently met with Hunter’s Chinese business partners)

Some of these entities were involved in Hunter Biden’s dealings with oligarchs and foreign interests, as investigators alluded to in their questions. For example, Rosemont Seneca Bohai and Rosemont Seneca Thornton were involved in receiving and transferring approximately $3 million to Hunter Biden and others from Russia’s then-richest woman in 2014, and a Kazakh oligarch transferred funds to Rosemont Seneca Bohai which Hunter Biden then used to purchase a luxury vehicle that same year, according to to the House Oversight and Accountability Committee.
Robinson Walker, LLC – an entity owned by Hunter Biden associate Rob Walker – received approximately $3 million from Romanian businessman Gabriel Popoviciu in May 2017, and more than $1 million was subsequently paid out on accounts controlled by members of the Biden family, according to the House Oversight and Accountability Committee.
Schwerin “managed the books” and performed “administrative tasks” free for Joe Biden while he was vice president, a commitment Schwerin called a “favor” during the interview.
Joe Biden used a fake name having exchanged more than 50 emails with Schwerin, with most of the exchanges taking place in the spring of 2014, Schwerin confirmed during the interview. Schwerin maintained his position that Joe Biden did not receive any proceeds from his son’s transactions, to his knowledge.
The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
