Chutzpah, your name is Biden – or, more precisely, the Biden family defenders.
The latest is Hunter Biden’s complaint that Republican pressure could push him off the drug and alcohol wagonthe first son grandly telling Axios that “The future of democracy” could be at stake if he starts abusing again.
Yeah.
Sorry: Addiction didn’t push or force Hunter to take that high-paying seat on the Burisma board. using his father’s name as leverage in transactions with foreign companies.
And this has nothing to do with what is undeniably established in the public record: Hunter, his partners and his uncle James Biden brought millions by at least pretend to foreign actors that they could influence Joe’s official actions as senator and vice president.
And now President Joe Biden has played along, meeting regularly, breaking bread and calling Hunter’s clients and potential clients.
And yet defenders of the Biden family are now trying to pretend that is the case. all Russian disinformation, as the (Biden) Justice Department now accuses Alexander Smirnov lied to the FBI in 2020 approximately $5 million in Burisma bribes to Hunter and Joe.
Oddly, Justice apparently considered Smirnov trustworthy enough to use him as a paid informant for over a decade; Interesting that he woke up now.
But somehow it was supposed to completely discredit the House investigators who had paid attention to the bribery allegation. John Brennan, former CIA director told MSNBC: “The fact that (Rep. James) Comer and (Rep. Jim) Jordan and others happily accept these things, and they don’t care whether it’s true or not as long as it’s salacious, as long as it’s that it’s something they can use… It’s something that the Russians recognize is ready to be exploited.”
Brennan, be careful, I spent years hawking out of breath the Russiagate conspiracy theory, based entirely on disinformation Since the Steele dossier completely discredited.
When it comes to eagerly accepting “salacious” misinformation “as long as it’s something they can use,” that beats the Republicans investigating Hunter and Joe.
Of course, the media is happy to ignore Brennan’s poor record if he’s willing to continue defending Biden and smearing the House investigation.
Hell, this isn’t even the first time “Russia” has been called out to protect the Bidens. Brennan joins the other 51 “intelligence experts” who have joined the 2020 letter claiming baseless The Post’s reporting on Hunter’s laptop, which had “all the classic hallmarks of a Russian information operation,” is now available. pointing to the accusations against Smirnov as evidence that their disinformation campaign was then somehow valid.
No: Smirnov’s bribery allegations had nothing to do with the evidence in the laptop — a damning goldmine of emails about Hunter’s shady business dealings as well as embarrassing documents about his penchant for drugs, partying and prostitutes.
It also doesn’t change the fact that Veep Joe pushed for the firing of Ukrainian prosecutor Viktor Shokin, who was well liked by the rest of the Obama administrationafter Shokin’s office started investigating Burismawho asked Hunter to bring Joe in.
All these flimsy excuses shouldn’t stop House investigators from shedding light on Hunter’s dirty dealings and his father’s role in it.
