But that doesn’t mean American politics aren’t stirring up some turmoil in Canada. In a conversation with Ian Bremmer on GZERO World, Cohen was asked about the impact a potential Trump comeback could have on Canada, as well as the extent to which the United States exports its political unrest. Canadian Ambassador to the United States Kirsten Hillman added that Canada has always been sensitive to American politics. Canadians, who have a soft spot for American media, are not immune to the repercussions of political unrest south of the border. Both ambassadors agreed on a general point: political polarization is a threatening global problem that poses a significant threat to democracy.
