MSNBC host Jen Psaki said Sunday that Hunter Biden wasn’t helping his father’s case during his public appearances and suggested the White House was hoping the president’s son would “stop public speaking.”
NBC’s Kristen Welker asked Psaki, who served as President Biden’s first press secretary, about the president’s son’s “surprise press conference” on Wednesday and asked if it helped or hurt.
“If you’re sitting in the White House right now, you’re saying, ‘Please, Hunter Biden, we know your father loves you. Please stop public speaking,'” a- she declared.
“It doesn’t do any of them any good that he’s there,” she added. “But at the same time, the president loves his son. That comes before anything else.”
