“Why do you think you’re trailing Trump in all these state polls?” » asked Doocy, referring in part to a New York Times poll which showed Biden losing in five battleground states to the former president Donald Trump in a hypothetical rematch in 2024.
“Because you don’t read the polls!” » Biden said, pointing at Doocy. “There are 10 polls – eight of them, I’m beating him in those states. Eight of them. You only do two.
It was not immediately clear which eight polls the president was talking about, but Biden campaign spokesman Kevin Muñoz said in response to the Times’ findings: “We will win in 2024 by putting our heads down and doing the work, not by worrying about a poll.”
