Former Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao expects political turmoil in the state after the Lok Sabha elections next month.
The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) president also asserted that the future belongs to BRS in Telangana.
He was addressing a meeting of party Lok Sabha candidates, MPs, MLCs and other leaders at the party headquarters here.
He told party leaders that people were fed up with Congress’ mismanagement in a very short span of time.
He claimed that some Congress leaders were in touch with him and told him that it was the BJP which was taking the lead.
KCR, as Rao is popularly known, also said that BRS leaders who joined the Congress now regret their decision.
Claiming that the BJP had tried to buy MLAs when the BRS had 104 legislators, he said, “Will they spare the Congress which has only 64 MLAs?”
He also urged BRS leaders to work for the victory of all party candidates in the Lok Sabha elections.
“Telangana’s long-standing commitment to safeguarding the rights of its people remains unwavering, echoing from the days of the Telangana movement to today. The BRS has emerged as the sole champion of this cause, with its MLAs ready to amplify the voice of Telangana in the corridors of Delhi,” he said.

KCR also highlighted critical issues plaguing Telangana, including concerns over irrigation, drinking water and electricity.
He vehemently criticized the ineffectiveness of the current Congress government, questioning the sudden emergence of infrastructure problems.
KCR later attributed these problems to the Congress’ disregard for the welfare of the people and the peasantry, driven by a culture of neglect.
KCR also reprimanded the Congress government for its “failure” to implement previous grain procurement policies, leading to serious repercussions for farmers.
KCR also expressed concerns over the BJP’s alleged plot to divert water from Telangana’s Godavari river, pointing out that such actions go against the interests of the state.
