Republican representative from South Carolina. Nancy Macé I had a real spitting moment from the Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo Wednesday when she revealed the amount of money Republicans are demanding from the president That of Joe Biden His family has been “whitewashed” over the years since he was vice president.
House Oversight Committee Issues Subpoena for Biden’s Son Hunter Biden make a statement during a closed session on December 13. His lawyers responded this week with a letter saying that instead of complying with the subpoena, Hunter will “agree” to answer “relevant” questions at a public hearing.
Speaking to committee member Mace on Wednesday, Bartiromo first asked about the difference between a closed-door deposition and a public committee hearing.
Mace responded that more information is collected where lawyers are present and there is no time limit, and emphasized that Donald Trump Jr. appeared twice for such lengthy depositions.
“The biggest difference is that when we have these public hearings of the House Oversight Committee or the Judiciary Committee, members of Congress only have five minutes each in turn. That’s it,” Mace said. “But when you take a deposition, lawyers are involved, members are involved, staff are involved. You sit there for hours. This could last all day.
“Hunter Biden, what are you so afraid of?” she says.
Bartiromo then asked about the amount of money that Republicans said had been “pocketed” by Biden family members and expressed shock at Mace’s response.
“Well, it’s north of $50 million,” Mace said. The amount of money that we’re talking about and that we’ve seen in the suspicious activity reports, the amount of money that has been laundered through this family, through their corruption, is going to be greater than that.
BARTIROMO: Let’s talk about the difference between a public hearing and a closed hearing where you could probably get more information. Can you explain the difference and why you think Hunter would feel it is in his best interest to participate in a public hearing rather than a closed hearing?
MASS: Well, certainly, and Hunter Biden shouldn’t get any special treatment here at all. But the biggest difference is that when we have these public hearings of the House Oversight Committee or the Judiciary Committee, members of Congress only have five minutes each in turn. That’s it. But when you give a deposition, attorneys, members, and staff are involved. You sit there for hours. This could last all day. You get a lot more information that you can then bring out in a public hearing. But he shouldn’t be treated any differently than anyone else. And let’s be realistic. Don Jr. gave not one but two depositions before Congress. So, Hunter Biden, what are you so afraid of?
BARTIROMO: So, what do you want to find out from Hunter Biden? What is most important to you?
MASS: I want to know where all the bodies are buried. I want to know how these companies were created and layered, where the money was, came from China and how it got to the United States, how it got to the different members of the Biden family. Where was Joe Biden? How was he involved? What kind of corruption? WhatsApp messages, emails, SMS. We will be able to verify his accounting on all of this. And frankly, I think he needs to sit for more than one deposition. There is so much money at stake here, it’s unbelievable. But we have to take the first step, which is a deposition.
BARTIROMO: How much money? How much a…
MASS: I will be there. I will be there. Married.
BARTIROMO: Oh, I’m sure you will. You are part of the supervisory committee. You have done an incredible job. You and James Comer, revealing some things we had no idea about. How much money do you think the Biden family has pocketed at this point?
MASS: Oh, well, it’s north of $50 million. The amount of money that we’re talking about and that we’ve seen in the suspicious activity reports, the amount of money that has been laundered through this family, through their corruption, is going to be greater than that. And I think those are significant amounts. And, you know, it was cash? Was it a credit card? How was this done? Where did Joe Biden access the money? All of these things can come out of the testimony of people like Hunter Biden and his affiliates. And that’s just the beginning. I want to bring in the accountant. I want to bring in other witnesses and whistleblowers. There are so many different points in this investigation. This is going to take a little time. But the deposition is the first place to start and I look forward to taking my turn with Hunter Biden on this.
On MSNBC Wednesday, Joe Scarborough And Mika Brzezinski claimed that the back-and-forth between the Bidens and House Republicans has ‘backfired’ for GOP because it’s ‘cruel’ and “every family experiences or struggles with mental health issues or knows someone who has struggled and suffered like Hunter. »
