LONDON: Sean Evins has joined Kekst CNC as a partner from Meta, having previously held roles at Twitter and the House of Representatives.
Evins has spent the past eight years in various jobs at Meta, including director of global affairs and public policy; director of product outreach, focused on AR/VR/AI; and director for elections and government outreach at Facebook.
Prior to this, Evins led global politics, government and news partnerships at Twitter and served with the House Administration Committee in the House of Representatives.
Based in Kekst CNC’s London office, Evins will advise the comms consultancy’s clients on emerging technologies, digital transformation and “critical issues surrounding the convergence of technology, geopolitics and policy.”
“Throughout his career, Sean has played a unique role bridging the gap between global affairs and technology, educating key decision-makers in business and government and developing digital transformation strategies to future-proof institutions – all while covering a wide range of issues and political systems,” said Bernhard Meising, co-chief executive of Kekst CNC.
He added that Evins will bolster Kekst CNC’s AI and tech advisory capabilities.
“We are just beginning to witness the profound impact of AI and emerging technologies on business, politics, regulation and the media,” Evins said. “Telling a consistent story, implementing effective strategies and building stakeholder trust will become increasingly crucial and challenging for organisations.”
Evins’ exit comes as Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has increasingly aligned himself with the policy positions of President Donald Trump and Elon Musk, owner of X, formerly Twitter. Last month, Meta said it would eliminate fact checkers on Facebook and Instagram, following the lead of X by relying on communitiy notes to correct misinformation.
Publicis-owned Kekst CNC, which has 14 offices and 300 staff globally, last month hired a senior advisor from Ocado.
