#geopolitics #russia Russia appears to have developed a strategy to completely detach itself from Western influence following the imposition of sanctions in the Ukrainian conflict. President Putin’s goal is to maintain a thriving economy, driven by his belief that other global players, particularly those outside the West, are rapidly gaining ground and challenging U.S. dominance. Recently, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Russia assumes that sanctions imposed by the United States and its allies will last for an extended period. However, Peskov also highlighted the belief within Russia that the influence of the United States over the global economy is diminishing. Russia frequently highlights the resilience of its economy, even in the face of extraordinary sanctions imposed by the West following the conflict in Ukraine. However, it still faces difficulties, including chronic inflation and a labor shortage. A notable increase in military production is responsible for much of the 5.0% year-over-year growth in the economy reported in October. To compensate for the decline in trade with Western countries, Russia is now looking to do more business with China, India and other countries in the Middle East, Asia, Africa and America Latin. According to Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, the global economy is not just about the United States. He pointed out that China is becoming more and more important and catching up with the United States. An intriguing question is: what is Russia really doing behind the scenes? Is there a brewing alliance that would shake up the global playing field?
