Former White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney believes “the race is over” for Republican candidate Nikki Haley, who is currently trailing Donald Trump in the polls in her home state of Carolina from South. “Not only can you not do that nationally in terms of voter perception, and especially donor perception – she talked about the political class, let’s talk about the donor class,” Mr. Mulvaney told Sky News Australia host James Morrow. “If she loses her home state by 35 points, the money is going to stop and in our system, money is the lifeblood of politics, so she has a really serious problem. “Personally, people who I speak with in South Carolina, we expect her to drop out before the South Carolina primary. “If she loses South Carolina by a huge margin, it will cripple her by 2028.”
