White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre will hold a press conference alongside National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan on Tuesday afternoon.
The White House faces a resuming Congress still divided over how, or even if, aid to Ukraine will continue. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Sunday expressed what he considers a harsh reality: his country’s fight against the Russian invasion depends on American support.
He double on this feeling Tuesday.
President Biden, who spoke earlier about the care economy, is also expected to meet with Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida before a state dinner scheduled for Wednesday evening.
Jean-Pierre is scheduled to begin the briefing at 1:30 p.m. EDT.
