In Russia, dozens of protesters were arrested after clashes with riot police in the central region of Bashkortostan. Thousands of people protested in the town of Baymak after an environmental activist was sentenced to four years in prison for allegedly inciting hatred. Police used force and tear gas to disperse the protesters and several people were injured. Under Russia’s strict anti-protest laws, protesters found guilty of so-called “mass riots” face up to 15 years in prison. #Russia #Protest #Bashkortostan Subscribe: https://www.youtube.com/user/deutschewelleenglish?sub_confirmation=1 For more information, visit: http://www.dw.com/en/ Follow DW on social media: ► Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/deutschwellenews/ ►Twitter: https://twitter.com/dwnews ►Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/dwnews ►Twitch : https://www.twitch .tv/dwnews_hangout For German language videos, please visit: https://www.youtube.com/dwdeutsch #russia #protest #putin
