Leading figures from all seven of Britain’s political parties took part in the BBC election debate. Politicians clashed over the economy, the armed forces, the NHS, immigration and climate policy. The line-up included Penny Mordaunt from the Conservative Party, Angela Rayner from the Labor Party, Stephen Flynn from the Scottish National Party, Daisy Cooper from the Liberal Democrat Party, Carla Denyer from the Green Party, Rhun ap Iorwerth from Plaid Cymru and Nigel Farage from Reform UK. Mordaunt said British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak was “completely wrong” to leave the D-Day events early – something the prime minister had earlier admitted was a “mistake”.
