Please subscribe HERE http://bit.ly/1rbfUog John Bolton had a front-row seat to the Trump administration as former national security adviser. His aggressive foreign policy stance often clashed with Donald Trump’s, and he described him – after he left office – as “erratic, impulsive” and “incredibly ill-informed”. In a best-selling book, The Room Where It Happened, John Bolton admitted to watching President Trump withhold security aid from Ukraine until he secured a promise of an investigation into Joe Biden. This issue would become central to Trump’s impeachment proceedings last year. Democrats pressured Bolton to testify, but he refused to do so voluntarily. They decided that a legal battle to force the issue would take too long, and went ahead without him. The full revelations of what he knew were only confirmed in his memoirs. #BBC #BBCNews #Newsnight Newsnight is the BBC’s flagship news and current affairs programme – with analysis, debate, exclusives and in-depth interviews.
