In many countries, people vote for their leaders and recent elections show that voters are not satisfied with their governments.
In GermanyNo single party has won enough votes to govern alone, so different parties must now work together. A far -right party, AFD, had many more votes than before but will not be part of the government. For what? Because many Germans believe that their economy is not doing well. The prices are high and even if most people have a job, they do not feel richer.
In Great BritainSo Prime Minister Rishi Sunak described as first elections because the economy had improved a bit. But the voters have always considered that the prices were too high and that the loans were expensive. Many thought that the economy was in poor condition, so Sunak could lose.
In the UNITED STATESPeople withdrew the Democrats from power in certain places because they felt more badly staying financially than during the time of Donald Trump as president, even if inflation (price increase) had slowed down.
Even in ChinaWhere the elections do not occur as in democratic countries, the government is worried. Fewer people feel that their lives are better than five years ago, so China is trying to strengthen its economy.
What about India?
Indian leaders should also listen to people. Currently, many politicians offer free things (such as money and discounts) to earn votes. But it cannot last forever. For example, in the Maharashtra, to give women and the elderly cheaper bus tickets costs 3 crores ₹ every day!
Instead of short -term gifts, leaders should focus on the rapid growth of the economy and the creation of more jobs. This is the only way people will really feel safe in their future.
