
Acting quickly within two days of taking charge as the new chief minister of Telangana, A Revanth Reddy on Saturday sacked several advisers appointed by the previous K Chandrasekhar Rao government for various departments.
Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari has issued orders to this effect. Apart from the advisors, other special officers appointed to various senior positions were also dismissed.
The advisors who were sacked from their posts are: Principal Advisor to Chief Minister Somesh Kumar, Principal Advisor Rajiv Sharma, Cultural and Endowments Advisor KV Ramanachary, Another Principal Advisor Chennamaneni Ramesh, Advisor (Home) Anurag Sharma, advisor (welfare of Muslim minority) AK Khan and chief advisor (forest protection) Shobha.
The special officers who saw the gates are: Irrigation Advisor SK Joshi, Finance Department Special Officers GR Reddy and Shivshankar, Roads and Buildings Department Special Advisor (vastu) Suddala Sudhakar Teja, Special Officer (power sector) Rajendra Prasad Singh and horticulture advisor Srinivasa Rao.
According to reports, former Telangana Joint Action Committee chairman and retired Osmania University professor Prof M Kodandaram is likely to be appointed as policy advisor to Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy.
Besides, other hardcore activists from Telangana may also be accommodated in various posts in the administration, sources said.
