Tax Charges Filed against his first son Hunter Biden in Southern California on Thursday are “just the tip of the iceberg,” a Republican lawmaker said Friday — adding that President Biden has been lying “to the American people for 40 years.”
“This is part of the Biden family’s criminal enterprise…we must continue to follow this,” said Rep. Carlos Giménez (R-Florida). said Maria Bartiromo of Fox Business new allegations that Hunter Biden dodged more than $1 million in taxes while splurging on sex workers and more over a four-year period.
The 53-year-old first son was indicted on nine counts — including three felonies — in connection with what special prosecutor David Weiss called a “four-year scheme to fail to pay at least 1, $4 million in self-assessed federal taxes.”
“It can be very difficult for him to show and try to explain where all this money came from, why did all this money come to him, what is all this money actually used for? continued Giménez.
“The more he talks, the more avenues will open for further investigation.” I know we are only touching the tip of the iceberg. I don’t think we’ve gotten to the bottom of it yet,” he said.
If convicted on all counts, Hunter Biden faces up to 17 years in prison.
Giménez – who made headlines last week when he demanded answers over the ‘increasing trend’ of Chinese nationals entering the United States illegally – then demanded that Joe Biden be honest his own alleged links to his scoundrel son’s business dealings.
“I think Joe Biden is the brand. And the only reason Hunter Biden was making all this money that he had to evade taxes on was because his father was vice president of the United States (at the time),” Giménez explained.
“Let Joe Biden blatantly lie to the American people and say that he had no idea of his son’s business interests …we all know that’s a blatant lie,” he continued, citing sworn testimony that the elder Biden, 81, met with Hunter associates “dozens of times.”
“The President of the United States has been lying to the American people for 40 years. This is nothing new… this is what he does and what he has done throughout his political career,” Giménez scoffed.
The explosive indictment details how Hunter allegedly spent vast sums on “drugs, escorts and girlfriends, luxury hotels and rental properties, exotic cars, clothing and other items of a personal nature – in short, everything except his taxes.” », the documents consulted by The Message displayed.
One particularly damning accusation claimed that Hunter paid $27,000 to a porn site, which represented one-fifth of all expenses related to that particular business line of credit.
The embattled first son already faces three criminal charges related to false statements he allegedly made when purchasing a firearm.
The new criminal case then intervenes House Republicans prepare next week to authorize an impeachment inquiry into President Biden for alleged corruption.
